The success of the Vancouver Sun Kids Fund is the result of a small group of concerned people that have engaged the local community to make a difference for under-served kids. Using the power of the press and the voice of the community, they have contributed over $11 million dollars to help kids in Vancouver and the lower mainland.
The Trevor Linden Foundation recently contributed to their 'Adopt a School ' program, funding the purchase of winter clothing and equipment so that kids could get out and play safely. During a visit to Mary Jane Shannon Elementary school in Surrey, Trevor picked up a stick and joined a very enthusiastic group in a game of floor hockey.
