Five Hole For Food
Will You Play Hockey For Food?
Five Hole for Food (FHFF) mobilizes hockey fans to come together and play hockey while supporting their local food banks. Highlighted by a summer tour which travels across Canada, the organization has been asking hockey fans across North America one question: “Will you play hockey for food?”
FHFF brings together generations of hockey fans for a single cause - fighting poverty and hunger. From kids barely old enough to balance on two feet playing next to wooden-stick-era hockey veterans, they channel a Canadian passion for the game into local community action - raising food, funds and awareness at one of the most pivotal times of the year for food banks.
Since 2010, FHFF has raised over 200,000 lbs. of food. They are 100% voluntary, ( we love that ) and led by Richard Loat, a die-hard hockey fan and believer in the ability of one small group to make a big difference. From coast to coast and now south of the 49th ( thank you Austin, TX and Phoenix, AZ! ), 2014 is shaping up to be another great tour.
